About Us

The Institute for Energy Studies/College of Engineering and Mines at UND has the human and physical resources required to solve even the most complex energy related issues. The IES provides problem-focused research at the lab and bench-scale, has extensive analytical equipment to support industry research and sample analysis needs, expertise in a wide variety of software modeling systems, and offers specialized education and training. The Institute operates with a core staff of full-time professionals and includes a pool of Faculty and Industrial Affiliates to provide a broad range of expertise.
